Tech tAUk Reloaded #3: The Alligator Stole It!

Tech tAUk Reloaded

Sometimes the world of tech gets just weird enough that it brings out our inner curmudgeon. We’ve got lots to grumble about on this week’s episode of Tech tAUk Reloaded. And while Josh reincarnates his classic FLUNKS segment, Douglas responds with one of his greatest rants ever recorded.

Our tech headlines this week:

For Doug’s Tip of the Week, he looks at the ecosystem of Google Apps for iOS and how Google has built interoperability between its apps.

Josh resurrects his classic FLUNKS! segment from the classic Tech tAUk. He issues a FLUNK to scientists attempting to clone John Lennon, and an EPIC WOW to a recovered DSLR that was stolen by an alligator.

Finally, Doug offers a shout-out for WordCamp Baltimore on Sept. 21, where he will be leading a workshop about podcasting.

About Douglas Bell

I live in Washington, D.C., and work as a Broadcast Technician at WAMU 88.5 FM, the local NPR affiliate in the Washington metro area. My primary shift is to engineer the local feed of NPR’s Morning Edition, including local news and weather, long-form features and station breaks… and yes, the shift starts at 5 am, so I’ve got the whole quasi-nocturnal thing going on. I am also the Coordinating Producer for Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie, an independently-produced podcast and public radio program. Extracurricularly, I play cello, and participate in a church choir and a handbell choir. I enjoy discovering new places, and am constantly searching for the perfect cheeseburger. I am also known as a frequent teller of puns.
